How to Regenerate a Remittance Advice

You can regenerate a remittance advice if it is stuck in a Pending, Generating, or Sending status, if no provider email address was available when the ABA was created, or if the provider’s email address has since been updated.

Regenerating the remittance will pull the current email address from the provider’s profile and generate a new remittance.

    • Regenerate icon under Actions – best used when regenerating an individual remittance or only a few specific remittances.

  3. A Regenerate Remittance pop-up will appear. You can optionally update the Payment Date and add a Custom Message to the remittance.

  4. Click Regenerate Remittance to regenerate the remittance.

Once the remittance has been successfully regenerated, its status should change to Ready.

Note:

  • Regenerating a remittance requires the appropriate permissions. If you do not have the required access, contact someone on your team who has permission to perform this action.

When Should You Regenerate a Remittance?

You may need to regenerate a remittance in the following situations:

  • Remittance is stuck in Pending, Generating, or Sending: Regenerate the remittance to restart the generation process.

  • No provider email was available when the ABA was created: If the provider did not have an email address in their profile when the ABA was created, add the email address to the provider's profile and then regenerate the remittance.

  • Provider email address has changed: If the provider's email address has been updated after the ABA was created, regenerate the remittance so the updated email address is pulled into the remittance.

  • Remittance needs to be resent: If you need to send the remittance again, you can regenerate it first, then send it once the status returns to Ready.

Tip: To avoid issues with remittance delivery, make sure the provider has a valid email address in their profile before creating the ABA.
